Getting started

Create an account, add your first monitor and get an alert when something breaks.

ResPulse watches your websites, APIs, servers and scheduled jobs from outside and tells you the moment one of them stops working. This page takes about five minutes.

1. Create an account

Open the site, press Get Started Free and register with your email and a password. Registration creates your organization (a team) and makes you its Owner. If email confirmation is switched on, open the link in the message we send you before signing in.

2. Add your first monitor

  1. Press Add Monitor in the top right of the dashboard.
  2. Choose a type: HTTP(S) for a website or API, TCP Port for a database or mail server, SSL Cert for certificate expiry, or Heartbeat for cron jobs and workers.
  3. Give it a name and a target, for example https://example.com.
  4. Pick how often to check. The Free plan allows a check every minute or slower.
  5. Press Create. The first check runs within a few seconds.

3. Set up an alert channel

Open Alerts & Channels, press Add Channel and choose Telegram, Discord, Slack or a custom webhook. Use the Test button to confirm the message arrives. Without a channel, failures are still recorded in the dashboard and as incidents, but nobody is notified.

4. What happens when something fails

  • The monitor turns DOWN and an incident is opened automatically.
  • Every channel of your organization receives a DOWN message.
  • When the target answers again, the incident is resolved and a RECOVERY message with the total downtime is sent.
Not sure a monitor is configured correctly? Open its card and press Test Now to run a check immediately.
