Alert channels

Get notified in Telegram, Discord, Slack or your own webhook.

Open Alerts & Channels and press Add Channel. Alerts are sent when a monitor changes state: UP to DOWN, and DOWN to UP (recovered).

Telegram

  1. In Telegram, talk to @BotFather, create a bot and copy its Bot Token.
  2. Add the bot to your group or channel, or start a chat with it.
  3. Enter the Chat ID (for example -1001234567890) or the channel name (@your_channel).

Discord

In your Discord server open Channel Settings, Integrations, Webhooks, create a webhook and paste its URL. Messages arrive as embeds, red for DOWN and green for recovery.

Slack

Create an Incoming Webhook for the channel you want, for example #incidents, and paste its URL.

Custom webhook

ResPulse sends a JSON payload to the endpoint URL you provide, which suits PagerDuty, Opsgenie or your own automation. An optional secret token can be set so your endpoint can verify the sender.

Test and history

  • Test sends a sample message through the channel and shows the result right away.
  • The delivery history lists every alert with time, event type (DOWN, RESOLVED, TEST), monitor, HTTP status and any error, so you can tell whether a message was really delivered.

Routing by tag (Pro)

On Pro a channel can be limited to certain tags. A channel with the tag payments receives alerts only from monitors tagged payments. A channel without tags receives every alert of the organization. On Free every channel works as a catch-all.
